Welcome to the Putting People First Awards 2018/19, where together we are ‘Celebrating excellence in mental health’.
The awards offer you the opportunity to recognise the work of your colleagues who have improved the care and experience of our patients, and those teams and leaders who you are proud to work alongside – you will know many!
These awards also allow our Trust to hold its head high and celebrate the fantastic work you all do for our service users and carers, and to say thank-you for the support which you offer each other.
And, they are a chance to really bring to life our Trust values, highlighting how, every day, so many of you demonstrate our positive and respectful behaviours that ensure we are all working together for better mental health.
But to do all of this we need you to speak up and get nominating!
Nominations now open!
The closing date for nominations is Friday, 19 October 2018 (mid-day).
The award categories have been chosen to keep the field as wide open as possible to ensure clinical and non-clinical teams and individuals from our wide range of services, localities and directorates, all have a fair chance at winning an award.
And the majority of awards categories are voted by the staff to ensure you feel these are very much your awards, and enable you to tell ‘our Trust’ what you think marks out individuals and teams as ‘excellent’.
The winner in each of the awards categories and the highly commended nominees will be revealed at a celebratory event at Trinity Park, Ipswich on 21 March 2019.
Staff can nominate to any of the following categories and will be able to vote for the winners in five of them:
In addition, there are Public Choice awards for Outstanding Care and Compassion: CFYP and Outstanding Care and Compassion: Adult. And this year, we will be asking members of the public to not only nominate but to vote as to who they think the winners should be.
Nominations will be accepted from all members of staff, excluding our Board, any members of the judging panels or the awards’ adjudicators.
The awards are firmly aligned with our Trust values with each of the awards judged against the most appropriate value. Each award has an overarching description and a set of core criteria specific to that award. These details can be found on the awards pages of this site and in the Nomination Pack, which can be downloaded from the staff intranet.
To nominate an individual or team, you are asked to complete a Nomination Form outlining why the nominee deserves to be a winner in the chosen award category. You can download the form from the intranet.
You can nominate to as many awards as you would like, each nomination must be on separate form.
