These rules are designed to make the Putting People First Awards 2016 nomination process clear and fair.

Rules for the Public Choice Awards

  1. Anyone you nominate for an award must be either current employees of Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust or work/volunteer for the Trust in an unpaid capacity
  2. Nominations will be accepted from service users and carers who have had experience of our services from January 2015 onwards. We will also accept nominations from other NHS, social care or third sector organisations that work alongside our staff
  3. There is no limit to the number of nominations that any individual or organisation can make in the Public Choice Awards categories
  4. Nominations must be submitted to the Trust on the Public Choice Awards Nomination Form and completed in full, either online or in print. Each nomination must be submitted on a separate form
  5. Nominations received after the closing date cannot be considered
  6. The Public Choice Judges will vote independently and confidentially, based on the quality of each nomination put before them
  7. The decisions made by the judging panels will be final
  8. The awards organisers may need to contact you to verify some details in your submitted nomination; this will not affect the judging panel’s decision

Rules for the Staff Choice Awards

  1. All nominees must be either current employees of Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust or work/volunteer for the Trust in an unpaid capacity
  2. Nominations will be accepted from all members of staff, excluding our Board members, judging panel members and adjudicators
  3. There is no limit to the number of nominations that can be made across all categories
  4. Nominations must be made on the Putting People First Awards 2016 Nomination Form and completed in full. Each nomination must be submitted on a separate form
  5. Nominations for Team of the Year Award must include all team members, unless the nomination is for a specific project group
  6. Nominations received after the closing date will not be considered
  7. Staff can only vote once per staff award category, to avoid people unfairly weighting the voting numbers by repeatedly voting for the same candidate. (You can vote in more than one award category)
  8. Votes will only be accepted from an NSFT or .NHS.net address
  9. Judges will vote independently and confidentially, based on the quality of each nomination put before them
  10. The decisions made by the judging panels will be final
